One of Norway's smallest blues festivals, but one of the nicest, is Skjærgårdsblues. It's located at the island Smøla at the northwest coast of Norway outside Kristiansund. Christina Skjolberg was the headliner Saturday July 26.

A blonde, female lefthanded guitarplayer is a rare find in itself, but
with talent and skills to match the best of the breed,
Christina Skjolberg really
is a unique package that's hard to match.

Born on the island of Smøla at the Northwest coast of Norway, she
fell for the guitar via Jimi Hendrix, picked up her first left-hand
electric aged 12 and has broken out of the Scandinavian circuit since
2007 with gutsy funk-blues originals.
In 2014 she is touring with The Ruf Blues Caravan through out Europe.
The Ruf Blues Caravan has a reputation for turning the spotlight onto the
best female blues artists – so remember the name, because you’ll be
seeing a lot more of Christina Lorentzen Skjølberg.
